Because alpacas do not shed their fleece, shearing is important for the animal welfare especially during the summer as alpacas can overheat.

 

As alpaca shearing typically happens annually, PaKman Farm held their shearing day in 2020 on April 30th. Due to COVID-19 the event was closed to the public. Check out some pics in the gallery below to see the whole experience!
